Across our international team, CIEL staff have vast experience leading immersive experiential learning programs in the Middle East, South Caucasus, Northern Ireland, Vietnam, Mexico, and Columbia. We currently have three main focus areas for educational travel:
Middle East
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has galvanized communities across the world for decades, becoming a linchpin of domestic policy not only in the Middle East but also in the U.S and in other countries around the globe.
Northern Ireland
Generally classified as a post-conflict environment, the Troubles lasted for over three decades and culminated in the Good Friday Agreement of 1998. However, ongoing tension, marginalization, and occasional violence continue to be obstacles to lasting peace and stability.
Vietnam
The fighting that took place in Vietnam from 1961-1975 is known to Americans as the “Vietnam War” and to the Vietnamese as “The American War”. More than four decades later, there is much to be learned from Vietnam.

and artists, we work to provide transformative experiential learning opportunities to a
wide range of participant groups.
