The US/Mexico border program is designed to engage participants deeply in the pressing issues of immigration and border dynamics, a topic intensified by current political climates and recent record-high migrant encounters.

By traversing both sides of the border, the program aims to shed light on human migration's complexities, exploring the motivating factors behind migration and the impact of policies on individuals and communities. It provides access to the narratives driving the discourse and welcomes participants into a comprehensive exploration of the nuanced perspectives and experiences that define this critical issue.

The journey starts in San Diego, focusing initially on the U.S. side with engagements including meetings with officials and community visits. Participants then cross into Tijuana to explore the Mexican perspective, engaging with migrant and asylum seeker shelters, and understanding local challenges and solutions. The trip also includes visits to key locations showcasing the juxtaposition of tourism and migration realities in Baja California.
